Unusual Bearings 2020
Feb. 23rd, 2020 05:09 pmHello Stork!!
Excited for my third year in this exchange! I'm gonna start with some general tags and rules, likes/dislikes, etc.
Do Not Wants:
1. Trauma to eyes or feet or spine, including canon trauma. (Like, even if it happened, please no explicit mentions of it. Like, at most a reference to like 'that time this happened' or whatever)
2. My kink-specific DNWs are: Scat/Piss. Humiliation as a kink. Playing up or inventing power dynamics for kinky reasons.
3. Porn without plot. I like my porn to be full of feelings at the least, and I prefer there to be something other than just porn.
4. Non-con/dub-con.
5. Terminal illness.
6. Jealousy as a major emotion/plot point/motivator. I hate jealousy stories. They're boring and I just want them to be able to work it out. I mean, jealousy is a normal emotion that people feel sometimes, so a bit is okay but they gotta get over it and it can't be a major part of the story because that's just frustrating to me.
7. In-universe unusual pregnancies. Obviously this exchange is FOR unusual pregnancies, but I want them to be normal or at least, not unheard of in the story world. They're weird/impossible for our world sure, but not the characters', if that makes sense. Basically, don't have people saying "but it's impossible for a man to be pregnant!" or what have you, and I'll be fine.
8. Character bashing, including group/organization bashing, if there are a lot of major characters in that group, like Jedi Order bashing, for example.
General Likes
1. Fluff, I love it so much, I just want my babies to be happy.
2. LGBTQ headcanons that work with the story are welcome.
3. Angst is also good as long as it has a happy or hopeful ending. I don't mind angst that ends well.
4. Outsider POV is delightful to me. I think it's great.
5. Polyamory.
5a. Metamours getting along! Even if two members of the poly group aren't into each other, at least let them be friends!
Additional Tags:
All Genders Can Impregnate All Genders - as I said, I like the pregnancies to make sense in universe, so whatever you want to do to make that work is fine with me.
Morning Sickness: I don't know man, I just like it.
Fandom Specific Prompts:
The Witcher: I watched the Netflix series, and it's exactly my thing. I love this show. I think a number of the additional tags are self-evident from the characers tags (like "Character thought they couldn't get pregnant (rules of the universe)", "Grumpy character is even grumpier during pregnancy") but for some more details:
Baby Has More Than Two Parents- listen, I adore Yennefer/Geralt/Jaskier, and I want them to be together! Whether it is literally that the baby has three bio parents, or they only have two bio parents but the other one adopts the kiddo too, either is fine with me.
To specify with my statement that I want the pregnancies to make sense in universe, what I mean for this specific fandom is that it's normal for SOME men to be pregnant, but it wasn't supposed to be possible for a witcher. My vaguest of vague ideas is that maybe their infertility procedures are actually only like, 99% effective or whatever, and they didn't realize that there was still a small chance until... whoops. And of course, that would lead very well into the tag "Man discovers pregnancy late because he had no reason to suspect he could get pregnant."
I don't need there to be "Angsting about normally impossible pregnancy and torn about what to do about it" but I wouldn't say no to it either.
Star Wars The Clone Wars:
Again, I think many of these tags are self-evident from the pairings chosen. For the soulmate AU ones, I just like Soulmate AUs, so yeah, I'd love that as a story! I also love the Star Wars specific one "Attachment causes pregnancy in Force sensitives" because just the prompt makes me laugh let alone a story with it.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine:
I like Garak and Julian together! They're great! If chosen, I'd prefer "Consensually pregnant trans person" for Julian or "Hermaphrodite Aliens" for Garak, but honestly, I'm happy with anything so long as it doesn't break my DNWs.
I also love the idea of a Soulmate AU with this one, because like, I feel like most Cardassians would abhor the idea of a non-Cardassian soulmate but Garak still really likes Julian, so... he can live with it.
